BYD Philippines’ Sealion family will soon be expanding.
At the 2026 Manila International Auto Show, BYD Philippines previewed the upcoming Sealion 7 crossover. Similar to its Sealion 5 and 6 siblings, the Sealion 7 is also a 5-seat crossover. What sets it apart though, is that it’s a fully electric crossover as opposed to being a plug-in hybrid.
Like the newly previewed BYD Atto 2 EV, full specs and details for the Philippine market Sealion 7 have yet to be revealed. We’ll likely know more about this electric crossover once it’s officially launched later this year.
In overseas markets, the BYD Sealion 7 is available in either RWD or AWD configuration. In RWD configuration, the Sealion 7 produces up to 230 kW (313 PS) and 380Nm torque, while the AWD variant has a total system output of up to 390kW (530 PS) and 690Nm torque. As for the one shown during the show? It’s the full fast 530 ps performance version similar to the current BYD Seal Performance.
The BYD Blade Battery powers the Sealion 7, giving it up to 567 km of electric driving range.
For those interested in the Sealion 7, BYD Philippines is now accepting pre-orders for the EV crossover at the 2026 Manila International Auto Show, and is indicatively priced between 2.4 to 2.7 million pesos.
