On the afternoon of October 10th, the Quang Ngai Provincial Department of Health announced that the Provincial Food Safety Sub-Department had submitted a report to the Food Safety Department and the Pasteur Institute of Nha Trang regarding the suspected food poisoning incident that occurred in Cam Thanh ward.
According to the report, after receiving the information, the Provincial Food Safety Department coordinated with the Provincial Center for Disease Control, relevant hospitals, the People's Committee of Cam Thanh Ward, and other functional units to investigate and verify the incident.
Eighteen people developed symptoms after eating bread.
According to the patients' statements, between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM on October 9th, 18 people purchased and consumed sandwiches at the B.D. sandwich shop.
